Pretoria

Pretoria, often referred to as the "Jacaranda City" due to its tree-lined streets that burst into purple bloom in spring, is one of South Africa's three capital cities, serving as the administrative capital. It is situated in the northern part of Gauteng Province, nestled in a transitional zone between the Highveld and the Bushveld, which contributes to its diverse natural landscape. The city lies in a warm, sheltered valley, surrounded by the hills of the Magaliesberg mountain range to the north. This geographical setting provides a pleasant climate for much of the year.
