Tarentaal Guest Farm is a family-operated working cattle and sheep farm situated in northern Namibia, located approximately 35 kilometers south of the Andersson Gate (Okaukuejo entrance) to Etosha National Park. Situated off the D2695 road near the town of Outjo, the property provides a rural countryside base for visitors traveling to and from the national park. The farm is owned and managed by the Gouws family, who live on-site and combine active livestock farming with guest lodging.The property derives its name from "tarentaal," the Afrikaans word for guineafowl, which roam freely across the grounds alongside other small resident wildlife such as chameleons and native bird species. The farmstead grounds feature landscaped gardens, shaded verandas, an outdoor swimming pool, a shared indoor lounge, and outdoor fireplace areas. Guest accommodation includes private rooms styled with antique furnishings, ceiling fans, and private en-suite bathrooms.Dining at the farm focuses on home-cooked Namibian cuisine, including morning buffets and evening braais (barbecues) served at communal tables.
