Namibgrens Guest Farm is a tranquil sanctuary situated on a high plateau at the edge of the Namib Desert, approximately 165 km southwest of Windhoek and 60 km from Solitaire. It is strategically located along the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, offering impressive views across the escarpment where the terrain dramatically descends towards the desert. The farm, which has been owned by the Rabie family since the 1940s, continues to operate as a working cattle farm. At an elevation of around 1,850 meters, the area enjoys a pleasantly mild climate and is malaria-free.The landscape of Namibgrens is characterized by vast granite formations, mountain ranges, valleys, and open plains, enriched by numerous natural and man-made water points that foster a diverse habitat. The guest farm is renowned for its abundant birdlife, with over 200 bird species identified, making it an excellent destination for birdwatching enthusiasts. Guests can also engage in game viewing and explore the expansive property through various activities.Accommodation options at Namibgrens Guest Farm cater to different preferences, including luxurious, self-catering Klipspringer Villas with multiple bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens, 11 en-suite Guest Farm Rooms located in the renovated farmhouse, and 12 private Mountain Camp campsites, each with open-air ablution facilities, accommodating groups from 2 to 20 people.
