Game Haven Lodge is a beautiful development situated within the 500-acre Chimwenya Private Game Park in Bvumbwe, Malawi. It is conveniently located approximately 25 kilometers from Blantyre, Malawi's commercial capital, making it an accessible countryside getaway. The lodge itself is constructed with golden-colored rock found on the estate, blending with its natural surroundings. The Chimwenya Game Park is one of the last remaining indigenous forests and grasslands of the Shire Highlands of Southern Malawi.The lodge offers various accommodation options, including five luxurious cottages with private verandahs, lounges, and fireplaces, as well as Sable Family Rooms, Nyala Executive Rooms, and a Self-Catering Guest House with three bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a range of activities, many of which are free for those staying at least one night. These include guided walks, game drives, mountain bike rides, swimming, and fishing. The lodge also features a 9-hole golf course and a children's playground called Mwana Park, which has both indoor and outdoor play areas. Dining is available at the Ambrosia Restaurant, which serves international cuisine, and there are also two bars/lounges.Chimwenya Game Park is home to a diverse array of wildlife. Visitors can expect to see animals such as giraffe, eland, zebra, waterbuck, duiker, blue wildebeest, sable, nyala, impala, and jackal roaming the terrain. The park also hosts various bird species along the Chimwenya stream. Beyond leisure, Game Haven Lodge is equipped with conference facilities, including two conference halls and 710 square feet of conference space, making it suitable for corporate retreats, weddings, and other functions.
