Leobo Private Game Reserve is an exclusive retreat situated in South Africa's Limpopo Province, specifically overlooking the Palala Valley within the Waterberg region. Spanning over 8010 hectares, the reserve is characterized by diverse bushveld savannah, rugged rock formations, and natural streams, creating a rich habitat for a variety of wildlife. The landscape offers a unique blend of natural beauty and adventure, providing a secluded and expansive environment for guests.The reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, including plains game, a wide array of magnificent birdlife, hippos, and even a resident crocodile named Stevie. Guests can expect to encounter giraffes, zebras, and Cape buffaloes, with occasional sightings of leopards. Large herds of buck, such as impala, wildebeest, kudu, eland, red hartebeest, blesbok, steenbok, gemsbok, tsessebe, and nyala, also roam the reserve. Leobo prides itself on offering a flexible and personalized experience, with no strict time constraints or rules beyond safety, allowing guests full access to the entire reserve and its facilities.Accommodation at Leobo consists of two distinct lodges available for exclusive hire: The Observatory and The Lodge. The Observatory, designed by award-winning architects Lesley Carstens and Silvio Rech, is a three-suite retreat ideal for up to 9 guests (6 adults and 3 children), featuring a heated infinity swimming pool, a rooftop jacuzzi, and an automated observatory for stargazing. The Lodge can accommodate up to 18 guests (14 adults and 4 children) across its eight chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms and scenic views. A wide range of activities are offered, including safari drives by Landrover or quad bike, fishing in dams where hippos reside, helicopter flights, target shooting, horseback riding, stargazing, hippo camping, tandem skydiving, clifftop walks, picnics, rock climbing, fly camping, and kayaking. Special activities are also tailored for children, focusing on wildlife encounters and bushveld education.
