V&A Waterfront

The V&A Waterfront, located in Cape Town, South Africa, is a prominent mixed-use precinct built around the oldest working harbor in the Southern Hemisphere. This expansive 123-hectare (300-acre) neighborhood is set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain, serving as a vibrant hub where a working harbor, diverse culture, and everyday discovery converge. The subsequent development of the Alfred Basin and Victoria Basin between 1860 and 1920 led to the creation of the working harbor that still operates today, surrounded by an array of outstanding heritage buildings.
