The Robertson Wine Valley, often referred to as "South Africa's Valley of Wine and Wonder" and the "Valley of Wine and Roses," is a fertile region nestled in the heart of the Breede River Valley along the scenic Route 62. Located approximately a two-hour drive from Cape Town, it is framed by the majestic Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges, with the graceful Breede River meandering through its expanse. This river is crucial for irrigation, supporting the valley's abundant vineyards and agricultural endeavors. The region experiences a dry, hot climate, ideal for viticulture, tempered by cooling south-easterly breezes and occasional mists from the Indian Ocean, which lies about 90 kilometers away.
